Join us for a presentation by Loren Leidinger, Outreach and Development Director at Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County (CAPSLO).

Loren has been the Outreach and Development Director at CAPSLO since 2019. In her role she leads the Planning Team which is responsible for the grant writing, reporting and contract processing at the $100 million non-profit. She is responsible for the development program and outreach to the community.

Prior to joining CAPSLO she worked with the American Red Cross Central California region covering 10 counties as the Regional Chief Development Officer. Loren has worked in non-profit organizations for over 25 years. She is also the President of the San Luis Obispo Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Chapter, a volunteer with the Sheriff’s Department, one of the Assistant Producer’s on The Yoga Hour Podcast, and on the board of Awakening, a small meditation center in Los Osos. Loren lives in Morro Bay with her husband, three college students that are in and out of the house. They enjoy hiking, camping and exploring the beauty of the Central Coast.

The Savory Palette will be serving chicken salad and vegetarian sliders which is included in meeting fee. Wine, Beer and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

CAPSLO is a nonprofit agency that focuses on helping people by focusing on high-quality early education and child care, accessible, affordable dependent care, affordable housing and basic needs and a resource connection.

Our June meeting will also include a special collection to support the homeless community. Amy Skidmore, who has organized free meals and gathered donated items for those in need, will be present to collect items for distribution. Needed items include clothes, sneakers, and sleeping bags.
