May Luncheon Meeting

This month’s luncheon is at Lunda Garden Bistro in Cayucos and our featured speaker this month will be Dawn Addis a new City Council Member for Morro Bay. Elected November 6, 2018, she was the top vote getter in her race, with Morro Bay having the highest voter turnout in San Luis Obispo County.

Ms. Addis entered politics through the activism. In 2016, as a co-founder of Women’s March San Luis Obispo she helped bring 10,000 people to the streets to demand a more positive and just future. In 2017 and 2018 she continued organizing and mobilizing across the Central Coast, including running for office herself. She has a background in public education and is an inspirational speaker for groups of all ages and sizes. Ms. Addis believes in the power of hope combined with work to create lasting change.

SBWN is a non-profit organization open to all women on all job levels and in every occupation that wishes to share ideas, build friendships, and exchange support needed for personal and professional growth. The meeting fee, which includes informative speakers, beautiful venue, networking and lunch, is $20 for members and $25 for guests. Reservations due the Friday before luncheon.
