Join us on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, we will meet at Lunada Garden Bistro, located at 80 N. Ocean Ave. in Cayucos at noon. Join us for lunch to hear our featured speaker Co-President Ann Havlik of the League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County.
The League of Women Voters is a peoples’ organization that has fought since 1920 to improve our government and engage all Americans in the decisions that impact their lives. They operate at national, state and local levels through more than 800 state and local Leagues, in all 50 states as well in DC, the Virgin Islands and Hong Kong. They never endorse or oppose political parties or candidates, but are political. Formed from the movement that secured the right to vote for women, the centerpiece of the League’s efforts remain to expand participation and give a voice to all Americans. The League of Women’s Voters does this at all three levels of government, engaging in both broad educational efforts as well as advocacy. Their issues are grounded in our respected history of making democracy work for all Americans.
SBWN is a non-profit organization open to all women on all job levels and in every occupation that wishes to share ideas, build friendships, and exchange support needed for personal and professional growth. The meeting fee includes informative speakers, beautiful venue, networking and lunch.
